The Players Championship (commonly known as simply The Players, stylized by the PGA Tour as The PLAYERS Championship) is an annual golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Originally known as the Tournament Players Championship, it began in 1974.[2] For many years, the Players Championship offered the highest prize fund of any tournament in golf ($10.5 million in 2015) until it was overtaken in 2017 by the U.S. Open, which offered a $12 million purse.[3] The field usually includes the top 50 players in the world rankings, but unlike the three major championships or two World Golf Championships events staged in the United States, it is not an official event on the European Tour. The Players has often been considered the unofficial "fifth major" due to its prestige, its host course near Jacksonville, Florida (the TPC at Sawgrass Stadium Course at which the tournament has been played since 1982, home of the iconic par-3 No. 17 "Island Green"), and its large purse.
Chappelle's Show is an American sketch comedy television series created by comedians Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan, with Chappelle hosting the show and starring in the majority of its sketches. Chappelle, Brennan, and Michele Armour were the show's executive producers. The series premiered on January 22, 2003, on the American cable television network Comedy Central. The show ran for two complete seasons and a third, truncated season (dubbed "The Lost Episodes"). After numerous delays, production of the third season of the show was abruptly ended when Chappelle left the show. Three episodes were compiled from the completed work and these episodes aired from July 9 to 23, 2006. Reruns have frequently aired on Comedy Central and around the world, with episodes airing on MTV in Germany, Comedy Central in Brazil, The Comedy Network and MuchMusic in Canada, The Comedy Channel and 7mate in Australia, and FX in the United Kingdom.
